94 explorer wont move in any gear

Thanks for the info. I usually run in drive to as I don't drive on the freeway much.
If I shouldn't flush the trans how do you recommend getting the old fluid out?
Also I just noticed the new one seems to free wheel all the time. Any ideas.?

I got the valve body out. I pulled the main oil spool L shape retainer but the spool does not want to come out. Any suggestions on getting this out?
