I'm not finding a listing for a Cat Back exhaust for my 94 Sport. Dynomax, Gibson, and Magna Flow list them for 4dr models. And Dynomax list a part number for a 91-92 2dr.

Looking to upgrade not for a lot of extra power or special sound, I'd just like a bit more MPG. I can get stock stuff at the local parts store but I'd like to find something with a bit larger pipe.

Anyone use one of the listed kit's for the 91-92 or 4dr models?

I and a few others use the Flowmaster kit, get it from summit, its cheapest there.

I'd imagine that the parts for the 91-92 would match up with your 94. Makes sense at least.

Dynomax makes one. I've got it installed on my '94 Sport.

Thanks guys. I found the part number for the Flowmaster Cat Back that was said to fit and ordered it. Dynomax's site said it's 2dr kit was for 91-92 only so I went with the Flowmaster kit. Jegs was just as cheap as Summit and I've had some bad luck with Summit in the past. And my sons are Flowmaster guys.

Again thanks for the help and taking the time to post.

More than likely the difference is in the o2 sensor bungs, you dont need one for the 91-92, as it is in the y-pipe, but from what I have heard the 93-94 have multiple 02's one after the muffler? cat converter? both?
You may have to have a bung welded in at a shop, or if you can do it yourself.

Difference is hangar location. I bought the '91-92 Dynomax for my '94, and the only difference was the location of the hangars. I had to put 2 new ones under the truck to hook it up. There are no o2 sensors behind the cat converter.

Correct. On the 94 there are no 02 sensors after the cat. I had my cat replaced recently & verified this. There's 2 of them on the Y pipe however.

And yeah the Flowmaster will fit fine. I had that on my sport when I owned it. Have the same system on my 4 door now.

How does that exhaust sound? Does it have a nice rumble or is it quiet. I replaced my stock muffler with a flowmaster and it was too quiet so i pounded out both cats with a long pipe and cut the rest of the exhuast off right after the flowmaster. And oh yea where i live they dont require inspections of any kind

Dont you just love TN....I no longer have the guts of my cats either.
