'95 Explorer XLT 4WD Popin into Netural

'95 Explorer XLT 4WD v6 Popin into Netural, sometimes make loud clunk, at times have to manual shift to 2nd then back to drive to keep moving. Especially does it when driving in traffic at lower speeds. Dosnt happen all the time. Havent changed to fluids, was told if having problems no to. Any one has ever delt with this before?? Also has alittle bit of delay when putting into drive and reverse.

It might have a clogged filter. Did you ever check the fluid level? It might be a little low. How many miles do you have on it? The EPC solenoid could be going bad. It's very sensitive to dirty fluid.

Fluid level is ok, where would i locate the filter?

The filter is in the bottom of the transmission. You have to drop the pan to get to it.

i read alittle about checking the pressure but havent been able to find out where to hook up the gage?

There are 2 places on the transmission. One is the regular test port, and the other one is for the EPC. Check # 10 in my list of useful threads for more information.
