95 Explorer XLT. Need help wiring my trailer. the vehicle has separate brake & turn lights so I cannot just tap in to the wires behind the lenses. I cannot locate the factory trailer wire harness. Do all explorers have one or just those with the towing package? The vehicle is 13 years old perhaps it has been removed. Where exactly would it or the wires for it be?
I need to get one single wire that operates brake and turn lights. I know they sell adopters for just this sort of thing but can't find at local auto store and I figure this is a truck, Ford must have expected it to tow things. I was hoping to take the boat out this week. If I have to order an adapter online it would be a week before I got it.
