95 XLT Radio Problem

I have 95 XLT with the stock AM/FM cassette radio. Recently the AM/FM button quit working and it's stuck on AM due to a battery disconnect/reconnect. The button doesn't appear to be stuck/pushed in and if feels normal, it just doesn't do anything. Has anyone run into this problem or have any ideas?

I have had the same problem

Radio buttons were intermitent, then they stopped working. It also didnt help that I had the dash covered in snow once. The easy fix, buy a radio on here for $25-$30 and swap it out. It should take 10 minutes if you take the first five to get a beer and cut the metal coat hanger "radio removal tools".

A factory radio is an easy swap. After market radios need adapter harness connectors, and sometimes mounting brackets. Any junkyard should have them.
