I recently purchased another explorer, It is a 1996 Eddie Bauer and it has no brake lights. I didn't get a manual with it so I have no idea where to go. I checked all the fuses and they are fine, any ideas???

IF the fuse is good, and all three lights are out, it is probably your brake switch.

You should be able to bypss-check it to determine if it is it. Let me see if I can find which wires to short....................

Your BOO (brake on/off) switch, located just above the predal and closed when depressing the pedal, should only have two wires going to it. One should be light green/red and the other should be just be light green.

A quick test of the switch would be to jump these two wires together and see if the brake lights illuminate.

This would be a quick test to determine if the boo switch is your problem.

Thanks man!

I will try your suggestion in the morning! I really appreciate all your help, I'll cross my fingers!
