So probably tomorrow I am doing an oil change on my truck at work, and I had the idea to remove the running boards so that I have incentive to fix the rust, and put the XLT style rocker covers on. I remember seeing a really good thread, about removing them, but I am unable to find it, anybody got that bookmarked? Or is it easy enough if I look at the boards on my truck, just don't want to take them half way apart and be stuck.

Thanks guys, Harold.

Simple enough-look underneath, there's two bolts that go into the back of the rocker per "L" bracket; remove all these. Remove the screws holding the front and rear to the fender lip. Use a molding or door panel removal tool to pull the plastic clips at top, from the rocker panels (the ones that are still attached to solid metal).
