'98 Running Board removal

If you're asking about the ride after removing the boards, nope... I only noticed a reduction in stiffness after removing the roof rack cross bars. Kind of a shudder-shake on bigger bumps if that makes sense.

I just took the ones off my '99 a few hours ago, grab hold of the bottom of the boards and use a little force and pull up on the boards. Those fasteners will slide out if you pull up, but theres around 15 of them so take your time and be careful. Once theyre out it gives it a pretty nice look to the car, making it look higher up. But i have the dilema of the ugly unplugged holes, anyone able to help?

and you just have to pull them off, you can go and try and push the plugs out with a screw driver, but like X6StringerX said many of mine just stayed on the truck while the boards came off

I want to remove my running boards and need to find these to replace them? Junk yard might be the best bet.
