96 Ford ranger rims

hello there. Qusetion for everyone. I just picked up a set of the Splash/Sport rims from a 96 Ranger and I noticed in my LMC truck catalogue that the chrome covers can be popped on the rims. Does anyone know this to be true and if so can they be popped off easly. Not a fan of chrome. I basic black rims and I know they would look good on my Exploder. If you can help me in any way of any info please do.

I've seen the chrome cover, and no, it does NOT come off easily. I would sell those and buy the steel wheels without the cover. Spare the heartache.
