96 Ranger 4x4

I found a Really Low mileage 96 Ranger 4x4 It has a 4.0 and an Auto Tranny can some one tell me if the transmission that came in these are the A4ld that would work in a 92 Explorer. One of my Friends wants it to swap into his Explorer.

I got my Answer Its not. Its an A4LD with Different Electronics. So it wont work.
