Hello, I have a 96 sport. My rear wipe quit working. Checked all the fuses, they are good. Replaced one of the large relays in the fuse box under the hood, because i was having problem with the front wipers, they work good now. The rear wiper will cycle if i leave the switch in the on position for a couple of minutes. might cycle once or twice then stop. thanks for any help

Time for a new motor. $45 from Advance Auto (remanufactured with a lifetime warranty), $120 from Ford (brand new, but no warranty). Most others are somewhere in between.

It's a 15-minute job to change it. :)

Before you go about replacing the motor, try to see if the arm is jammed. I found that if I wiggle the arm my wiper starts working again.

The motors are poorly sealed and notorious for seizing up.

thanks for the help. tried to move the arm. no luck. checked all the fuses again all good. looks like the motor may be the answer. Really need a back wiper for some reason the back window gets really dirty and hard to see out of.
