2 quick questions;
#1 Anyone know what the vacuum hose size is for the egr valve?

#2 If that hose is bad, would that throw a egr excessive flow code??

It's hard to get to so I would like to know the size before I cut the old one off.
Thanks,
GeorgeR

It's a short hose. Should be able to yank it easily. But I don't think it will cause this. The sensor reads a voltage when the EGR is open. As "crud" gets on the EGR, it will not seat properly, 'causing the sensor to read "open" (even if it really isn't). Vacuum on the EGR should open the EGR, so lack of vacuum should close it.
I'm not an expert, but I took mine apart several times, and I don't think that a bad ose would cause this code.
