96 XLT cd player not working

The 6 changer cd player in my 96 XLT suddenly stopped working the other day. I can fill it with cd, then it will scan each slot and then say "no cds".
I've cleaned it and it still doesn't work. Could disconnecting the battery for a few minutes reset the cd player?

No one else has had this problem? Anybody? Help!?!

try posting in the audio section... more focused. Normally, when players (any kind) can't see discs, there are alignment or laser problems.... or the discs are of the wrong type / make.

Will do Budwich, thanks for the response. Must be alignment or laser problem, I've been using the same cds in it for years.
