97 5.0 XLT clean up

Paid $300 for it cause the guy said it had a bad tranny. Ended up not havin tranny fluid :scratch:. So this is gonna be my moms new DD and she can stop drivin my mustang . Just needs a grill and headlight for the outside and the inside just needs a center console armrest, a rear door handle and the stuff to put the new stereo in. This is just after a wash and my dad put some scratch x on the easy spots. Next will be a wax and cleaning the interior.

Heres the interior. It looks good but its got its issues. Not sure how we're gonna clean it cause if we steam clean it it'll never dry in this humidity.

O and we may have the dent wizard guy do the pass door not really sure yet.

That sucks. I pulled this out of my maroon GT worked fine but it aggravated me how I had to setup everything for the bass (EVERYTIME my dad got in it he screwed with it and I could never get it back how I had it ). We were gonna clean the interior but its ben to humid out so we're gonna frebreeze it and hope for the best. I will be postin some pics of the new grill and console whenever we get them.

it looks exaclty like mine, when i first got it. i wish i had the time before school started to strip out my interior and get it cleaned, it always humid here in south carolina so if you dont have a garage with a fan nothing will ever dry around here.

Yeah same here. I have a garage but its to small to work in with an SUV and we cant pull this apart cause my mom needs to drive it lol. The interior isnt to bad but it smells kinda funny and I like the interior to be as nice as I can get it . Maybe in the spring if she gets something else i'll tear it down and clean it..........and add some leather seats .

There is a console repair kit on E-Bay that is great. I got it and it is easy and cheap. Looks like new and a perfect color match. 300324193528 is the item number.

Looks like you guys did a good job cleaning her, that front bumper is screaming to be straightened out and the lower bezel tightened back up flush

I'll look into those kits cause thats the only thing the interior needs (well it could use a good scrubbin but I cant take it apart right now ). Yeah we've been meaning to straightin the bumper we just havent gotten to it yet and I still wanna get a grill and light for it . It also needs a wheel bearing cause its growlin pretty bad. This thing drives awesome though, so much that i'm selling my 90 mustang driver to get one lol.
