My 97 5.0 XLT

Ok short version of the story, I have a 95, wanted to drop the 302 in it, had some issues with motor/tranny with the 95, found this 97 with 302 in it with only 149k. Guy told me only needed hood/fender. I hauled ass 2 hours and found it needed more but after the test drive I was hooked. So basically im taking everything I need for body panels off the 95 to swap onto the 97.

Here it is when I got it

yeah more than a fender and hood!

dirty but she will shine up like a new penny im sure

started dinging into it found out the header panel is spent

all stripped down, bent the friggin bumper mount on the frame too, gonna grind the spot welds off that and use one from 95

end of day 1 working on it

thats all for now, I will keep updating this so check back often.

Check to make sure that radiator isn't leaking (passenger side front on the bottom of the air deflector)

There's a nice Ex hiding under all of that!

Day 2

Drivers fender off and cleaned up and some new paint!!!

Front end all cleaned up and painted

Body panel kind straightened back out

Pass fender off, getting ready to clean up

The poor 95, getting kinda bare now

Day 3

well it was a crappy day to be outside in the weather so I decided to build myself an intake from left over parts from the 4.0.

This is what I came up with

havent drivin it yet since but hope all goes well
