So i am getting quite a bit of leakage out of my front diff. It appears to be coming out where the driveshaft goes into the diff. Does this mean that I have to replace my front drive shaft? As always...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

not the driveshaft, but just the pinion seal
that is the only thing that could leak there,,

Indeed, it's likely the pinion seal. My local trans shop charged me $70 to replace the seal re-torque the nut, and refill the diff. It continued to leak after that, so I purchased a new yoke from the dealership for $30 and they installed it for me for only the cost of another seal (IIRC another $15 or so). Haven't had an issue since!!

Wish I had the tools

It seems like a pretty straight forwards job however, the dealership is only going to charge about $140 to do the job so I will just take it in. Going to have them replace the yoke as well since it needs to be pulled anyway(no more labor cost). BTW, anyone come accross a thread the details the how to process for this??
