Went to leave for work and 2 things happened. First is that my power windows did not work, including the sunroof. Second is that I had the 4WD and 4WD low lights flash together 6x every 3-5 minutes. There were (and haven't been) any changes in my routine, gentle driving habits. I stopped by a local garage and they replaced a fuse in the box near the drivers door. My windows worked and the flashing stopped. 6 hours later, the same 2 problems started again. Is there anything I can check before he looks deeper for the problem and deeper into my pocket. 4L SOHC, 125K, absolutley no major probelms (knock, knock) in 10 years.

I know the usual problems are the relays under the dash going/gone. They had the same issues, intermittent or non-working windows and flashing lights.

When mine were JUST flashing (no window problems) just resetting the comp/gem/whatever it is worked(disconnect the neg battery terminal for like 10 or 15 mins.)

Maybe the fuse is gone again... :-)

well... the "normal" way to debug fuse blowing problems is to unplug stuff on the fuse and then plug the things back in one at a time until you find the "culprit" and then go from there in terms of wiring / checks. As to why it blows, only he knows as to what he does to cause the problem (eg. move a window switch, hit a "bump"?????).... something causing a short.
