I have a 1997 Explorer with 202,000+ miles! This past week it started chirping and I put off looking at it until yesterday. Started the engine to take a closer look and the top Idler Pulley popped off!
I put it back on restarted and before I could get back to the front, it popped off again. The bolt is not stripped and seems to go in straight. Did the pulley just go bad or should I be looking for a bigger problem? Everything else seems to work and turn fine.
