Idler Pulley Bracket-HELP!!!
I was told when my idler pulley went bad, that I needed to change the whole bracket.(main bracket that holds tension pulley, alt. ect.) I was also told that 1996 was the the only interchangable year for that bracket. I'm having a very hard time finding one. Anyone have any ideas and does anyone know the "real" name to this bracket? I have a 1996 Explorer 4.0 4x4. Thank you for any help.
UPDATE: I was also told that the reverse thread bolt that holds the pulley on is stripped. Can this be retapped if it is? Does the whole bracket need to come to do this? Maybe this will help get me some answers to this. If you need more info to answer, just ask away. I'll check back often.
