I understand that this has something to do with possible air or vacuum leaks.
MAF sensor? I just dont know and would really appreciate any information on this matter.

Likely the rubber o-ring gaskets between the upper and lower intake.

^^that or a vacuum line thats removed or cracked. Poke around and make sure your lines are all kosher, then clean the MAF.
