OK this happens at random times i could be at a stop or just driving down the road but its like it slips out of drive into neutral, and then back into drive. If it does it at a stop my tires squeal because it slams back into drive when im trying to take off. this was happening before so i had a trans flush and new fluid put in and the problem disappeared for about a month, now its back again. I'm open to all ideas, and i hope i can get this resolved.

I had that problem, but mine was also spiting some fluid out the filler tube. When I would check the level it would show full.

I took the X to a tranny specialist and they wanted to rebuild my tranny. I didn't feel that was the problem since it shifted fine.

I don't see where you had the filter changed and that was the fix for mine.

The cost of me changing the filter and adding 5 quarts of tranny fluid was around $45, compared to the cost of a tranny rebuild that was quite cheap.

That has been over two years ago now and no further problems.

The filter was changed when they did trans flush and put the new fluid in, sorry i didn't mention that.

One more thing, check the vent tube and make sure it is clear. That can cause your type of problem if it is clogged.

It is near the back of the transmission and is a small tube about an eighth of an inch in diameter. It is visible from beneath the car. You will need a flexible cable to clear it since it has several bends in it.

I forget which side of the tranny it is on, but it shouldn't be hard to find.
