So my roommate just got an 97 Ranger with the 4.0L in it. Friday i come home to find a leak in a weird place iv never seen before so far working on cars/trucks.

At first it looked like it was leaking in a crack in the lower intake but now it looks like its pissing out form someplace under/behinde the corner of the lower intake.

Any ideas? Common Problem?
Here is a video

Is that an SOHC?

ok so anymore ideas of what it can be? want to be sure before we start ordering parts and tearing down the engine.

It's hard to tell in the pic, but is the fluid coming from where the lower intake connects to the head? It looks like it shouldn't be to hard to tell if you were standing there. Take some Dawn dish soap and a brush and clean it off real good.

its a video, so if you click play you will see it shooting out. i just want to make sure that im correct before i tear it all down. first Ranger/4.0L ford iv worked on.
