I replaced the pcv valve today on my 1997 XLT SOHC V-6. The one that I removed was replaced by the dealer at 60,000 miles and is a Motorcraft EV-147.
The one I purchased and installed today at 155,000 miles was a Purelator PV225 from Advance Auto which is the callout for my vehicle. It appeared the same from the exterior but the interior portion of the Motorcraft looked diferent from the valve standpoint.
Anyone know if the Purelator PV-225 is the correct part number for the SOHC engine?
