Message center in LMTD to work in XLT ? Do the wireing harness in XLT have plugs for message ctr hidden someplace ? I'm assuming they all get the same harness when built and needed plugs/wires depending on model.If I'm wrong it will explain why I can't find the needed plugs and other things that the LMTD has that the XLT doesn't.

Nope, no plugs. You gotta have it fully wired. Theres writeups on here on how to do it, but ud have to have a message center from a 96 or 97, 98-01 will not work. the install and wiring looks EXTREMELY DIFFICULT and id recommend having an electrician do it. overall, it is NOT worth it.

 

[XLT99]

Search for one of the writeups, and pm the OP and ask if they have wiring diagrams and schematics for installing the message center. The writeups usually go through the process step by step, so you can see gow to do it anyway
As a whole pic wiring usually looks like a nightmare, but if you have some diagrams and take your time its usually not that bad
