97 XLT rear differential vent hose questions

I have discovered that my rear differential vent hose is broken, before it gets up to it's mounting location. Vehicle is 1997 XLT 4.0 SOHC, 8.8" 3.73 LS. My questions are: where should this hose terminate, and how could I obtain a replacement end fitting. Thanks in advance.

Just a bump...still need to get this fixed, was wondering if maybe the auto parts might sell a vent kit.

EDIT: I have since learned to use a plastic "panel retainer" as the termination for vent tubes. This will allow breathing, but keep out insects & debris.
