Hey,
Im 15 and I can get my dads 98 awd xlt explorer or i can get something else. Ive already read that on here about gettin a piece of crap or something and saving money but i still want a nice lifted suv or truck. What all will it take to put the explorer on 35's w/out trimming?? Does an explorer look good on 35's?? I havent seen any pics of a newer model on this size tire. will a 4+3 fit em and look good? Does an explorer look out of proportion with tires that big?? THanks a lot

With a 4" suspension and 3" body lift you will probably still have to do a little fender trimming to fit 35's.

This 98 has 7" of lift with 33's

dang, explorers r hard to lift!

Without sounding insulting, you may want to hold off on lifting it till you're a little older - the money you'll spend now to do that is quite a lot. However, if you can handle it, then may the force be with you and your Explorer :D

yea, i know it will be a lot of # but my dad will pay for a lot of the lift if i take his explorer. Bit if i get another truck like a 88-98 z71 ill have to pay for most of the lift. Thanks for any help ahead of time!

Here's one riding on 35's with a 3" body lift, torsion twist and SOA on the rear. Lizardtrac

i dunno if his counts cause he is nuts and doesnt have hardly any fenders. but Shammy where are you in NC? you could do a 4" suspension lift and (do you have stock fender flares?) you could get perry's fab & fiber and run 35's.

jefe has a 2000 4 door and has 35s on it..... but he has spent a bit of time and money on it..... and has done some trimming also.... www.jefethegreat.com

anyway, lifting anything without trimming is almost going to be nonexistant..... just save the money now and fet something better when you are older
