98 center console question

The center console on my 98 XLT is broken(common problem). I have been looking on Ebay and found some that go all the way to the dash and connect, unlike the one I have now. Can I replace mine with one of these fairly easily? Will it connect to my dash?
Also, what years will fit my 98? Is there any other good place besides Ebay to get these?

I found a few at JC Whitney that says they fit the 98 Explorer. What do you all think? Will they fit and look good?

could someone tell me what years will fit in my 98? I found one on Ebay that is from a 2003. It says it will fit, but I am unsure.

I have used the search feature and come up with nothing on this topic.

anyone??? I know that the console is a common problem. Surely someone has replaced theirs.

Most of the consoles are interchangeable. The mounting on the floor would be the difference, you'd remove your ashtray. The later 2001+ Sport Trac consoles also would work, but not the 4DR bigger body style type. Good luck,

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll keep looking for a 95-01 to replace it.
