The manuals I have for these beasts mention balance shafts but dont say if it is only the v6 engines that have them. I have a 98 eddie with a V8 that I had to pull (missing the top 1/2 inch of the face on the #7 piston) and I have yet to finish tearing it down.
before I go to the trouble of tearing it all the way down, is it supposed to have a balance shaft? it looks like someone swapped engines on this beast as the exhaust bolts between the pipes and manifolds were all crossthreaded
this beast is for my mother to drive so I dont want to just throw another V8 in there that doesn't have a shaft if it is supposed to.
