Have a 1998 Explorer 5.0L. AC will not work, jumped low pressure switch and clutch engaged. Attempted to charge the system and hear hissing noise coming from front of vehicle – suspect hole in condenser.
Never done AC work, but willing to try if it saves me $$.
1. Is it reasonable to think that I can replace the condenser & take it to the shop for an evac and charge?
2. Should I also replace the dyer?
(BTW, the vehicle has 145K)
