- 1998 Ford Explorer SOHC
I have a 98 Ford Explorer 4.0 SOHC and it has idled kind of off for sometime. It just kind it has a rolling idle, but it never pulses more than 50-100 rpms. Recently it started dying when shifting from either drive to reverse or reverse to drive. It has only happened twice in the past month or so but I would love to fix it before it becomes a real problem. When it happens I get no check engine light or anything, I just have to shift back to park and it starts right back up.
