ok i dont want anything to do with the mach system, i want it all out so i can just run my aftermarket subs and amp.

right now i have a pioneer headunit, 6x9 speakers all around, 6 cd changer is removed, rear sub and amp are removed, so wires are exposed to modify.

my setup now is 2 kicker 10 inch subs, and a 800 watt amp and cap.

i want to just run the speakers to headunit, and have the subs and amp installed as if it was any other car, just rcas remote ground and power.

what do i have to do to get it set up this way to bypass everything on the mach wiring? its all apart now and this radio has always been distorted and acting funny.

thanks in advance! this is kinda my beater everyday truck so im not necessarily gonna butcher it, but i want the crap out lol

thanks in advance!

Idk can i just use the factory amp to amp the speakers

You can use the factory amp just for the speakers, but what's the point if you have it all taken apart?
Your Pioneer head unit should have an amp built in. Use that amp to drive the speakers, then run your own wiring for a rear amp for the subs.
It's super simple, you're just thinking too hard and over complicating it for yourself..

I'd start with connecting all the speakers the the new head unit directly. That way, it won't have anything to do with the stock system.
There's 2 ways to do this.
- Either run new wiring throughout the whole truck, which isn't as bad as it sounds.
- Or, where the old amp was, you can just connect the amp-in and amp-out corresponding wires. That way, it's going from the new head unit, through 300 feet of wire (:D), to the speakers.

Shouldn't be hard. If you need something else, just ask.

Ok I wanna go this way, now there's one harness into the amp and the 2 wire output to the factory sub, what sets of wires am I connecting? Is that from the amp to the back of the head unit plug? So I would need to purchase the bypass wire harness?

So instead of integrating the factory amp it's better to just bypass it?

The radio works now with just the regular harness connections and amp unplugged but it seems like one speaker is always out and comes on it might be a power issue.

So amp bypass and be done with it?

Also for the dash harnesses, there's one plug for the radio, one plug with 3 rows square and another small one, what do they each do?

Will my cd changer removed affect anything?

in this thread it states the amp i have is just for the sub?

i have it unplugged the rear amp and the speakers work with just the factory harness to aftermarket head unit,

do i need anything else?

do i need to bypass it?

Oh, I apologize. I didn't read that you had a 1998. Sorry, my fault. Ignore what I said.

In the 98, the amplifier is built into the head unit. Therefore, when you swapped the head unit, you started using the head units amp.
The factory sub can completely be removed, including the amp.
Once you have those out, you can put in your own amp and sub and run it off the RCAs on the back of your new head unit.

Sorry for the confusion.

You will not need to bypass anything. Just remove the old sub.

I kinda figured that lol man 3 pages of google abs audio stores it clicked in my head.

Thanks!

Good to hear. Post if you run into any other problems, but I doubt you will. It's pretty easy.
