Ok here it goes I have a 98 ford ranger 4.0 4x4. The other day I got in my pickup and my 4hi and 4low lights were flashing when I started driving the pickup, I stopped and put the truck in N then turned it to 4high, started to drive and they kept flashing,so I put it back in 2high and the lights kept flashing, I pulled over and unhooked the battery to try and reset the computer,i get back in the truck and start to drive off truck still in 2high and the lights stopped blinking, I get abut 1/4 mile down thw road and the 4wd just kicks in with the selector knob still on 2high and the lights start blinking again, and this time the o/d light is blinking also and the truck is hard shifting and wont shift out of third gear........................im lost and need some help
