98 mac cold air intake MAF adaptor

so i am going to be ordering a mac CAI from henson performance very soon, but i am not sure about this. i have a ford lighting maf for it (90mm), and i dont know if the one that comes with it will fit or not. any have the same thing, and have had to order a adapter plate as well?

I have some odds and ends from my intake you can have Tim. They might come in handy.
Im in Regina, but coming back Friday.

My truck ran great, but at 140km/hr, the worst gas mileage I could have imagined. Christmas day, there isn't much for gas stations open. Was close. I won't be driving that fast anymore, probably a good thing anyway.

i did laugh when you said you where doing 140! funny how for what ever reason, they drink gas like you were standing on top of the intake with a bucket pouring it in!
thanks, but i managed to get a hold of james today. for anyone reading this in the future, if you do order a mac cai for the 5L trucks, you will need the adapter. and yes, i have both coming now.

Do you need a different sized inlet on your air filter?

On the way home, I kept speed between 110 and 120km/hr and mileage was way better. I think I saved about $30.00 in gas coming home. I guess thats an added reason to drive more responsibly.

i am not sure. i had asked james if they were needed with a 90mm maf, and he had said yes. was lucky enough to get one that wasnt billet alum. so that even saved me a few $$$.
as for driving more responsibly, bah! you have seen how i drive. if your in control, your not having fun! lol

No control issues. Also. for whatever reason, Sask doesn't stick muxh for speed contol on their highways. There really wasnt anyone elso on it anyway.

Id think that if you need a maf adapter, you will propbably need a air filter to match. We will find out, anyway. Amsoil has a whole list of filters that will work and a chart for mouth sizes. I think shippings about 3 days. There's so many unknowns until all the parts are coming in. That was a big issue for me also.
