98 ranger XLT
I recieved a 98 ford ranger xlt 2 wheel from my dad when he passed away. It has 4 leaf springs in back. I want to remove one to make the ride a little less bone jarring. Does any one have any knowledge on how to do this?

Sorry to hear about your father passing away.

Welcome to the forum.

If you want to replace the leafs with stock ones check out www.lmctruck.com its only like $100 a side for new leaf springs. Im guessing your truck has 3 springs stock and 1 was added. Check out the ranger or off road section for more info.

welcome and sorry bout ur dad

Thank you very much.

That Link was perfect! Cleared up my problem. I spent an hour trying to cut off that center bolt. Il go buy one and now I know to cut that off. Thank you very much.

And thanks for putting me in the ranger section.

..I am glad that link was helpful...I take it your Dad had added the AAL???

...I didn't have to cut my bolts off..:dunno:

Yes he put them on because he was always pulling around trailers and stuff. I'm gonna go for a prerunner look in time. But for now I'm just pulling around a dirtbike so I do t need those heavy duty things.

Maybe mine was stripped out.

Oh yeah, in the link you showed me it said to cut that center bolt.
