98 Ranger Fuel Filter

Hello all! I bought my 98 Ranger supercab 3-liter a little over ten years ago, and I'm still enjoying it!

It's got 115K on it and running a little doggy - missing, poor performance. I suspect the fuel filter, but I can't find it. I'm going to have a mechanic replace the plugs & wires as well, but I'd like to save a little and change out the filters myself.

Passenger side frame rail? Try looking along that.

if you decide to change it yourself you will prolbey need the specialty too to relese the clips that hold it i needed it for my 97 x just a lil tip

Are the original filters "lifetime?" Do they purge themselves somehow?
