Hi Jordan,
Try Costco, That's where I got my BFG A/T's. 31X10.5 R15's for $98.00 each, and mount and balance were free. You also get free tire rotation. I don't have a problem with them on my 97XLT (stock height), and I do go 4wheeling. Dead Link Removed

OK....As I write this I am looking throughout the internet and newspaper for the best Tire Deals I can find. Can any of you give me any good resources for tires prices?
Also, I am going to be putting 31x10.5x15 on my stock height 98 XLT Explorer. Any problems with this?

Thanks for your help gentlemen!

Ray/Jordan -

Forget Costco, they don't carry BFG anymore, prices went up and they didn't want to carry it anymore.

Hey khoa,
thanks for the info. What about Wheel Works?
Do they have Wheel Works down south? They quoted the same price as Costco did, only they charge for balancing, and they always want you to buy valve stems too. I thought that their prices were resonable.

OK everyone my 31's are on!

Tucker Tire in Laguna Niguel, CA.
31x10.5x15 Savero Swampers (like Heather's)
$72 each (thats right!) Mounted and Balanced.
$288 Total out the door!

They look great and ride awesome. No rubbing on the underneath but...the side rail that runs under the doors and comes to a lip on the inside of the front wheel wells rubs on the tired during full turn. I am planning on finding a Hot Knife to cut the inside of the rail so that it doesnt rub. Problem solved if I can only find a Hot Knife??????

If you're refering to the black plastic lining in the wheel well, you can cut it easily with an exacto knife or any utility blade. Just be careful using it.

It sounds like you got a pretty killer deal. I kow this isn't in time but sam's club has good pricing on just about tire you can think of and if they dont they can order it over night. the price of mounting includes life time damage repair, patching, retreading, balance, rotate, etc.

i got 31 x 1050 x r15 good year tracker for street and sand and 33 x 1250 x r15 bfg m/t for the good stuff. the good years with mounting were $380. the bfgs were $500. but you got a deal so im just on tangeant.

UPDATE on 31's!

I havent found a Hot Knife yet to cut the plastic I was talking about. I do not mean the plastic lining in the wheel well but rather the lip from the side rail that runs along the inside of the rear part of the front wheel wells.

Vibration & Noise: The only vibration or noise problem I have experienced so far is when I am driving about 5 mph. Then I can feel the knobyness (what a word) of the tires and very little vibration. When driving above and highway speeds I feel no difference. Offroad in sand and light dirt my ride is WAY BETTER!!!!!! So if you are worried about V or N don't worry about it. Get the 31's and be happy with ride and look.

hey Jordan, do you or anyone else know where i can see a pic of these tires? i have never heard of them and i would like to see them. can i get them in 33 12.50 15? i could find a gt savero all terrain but that was it. can you scan a pic and send it to me @ dodgerr@hotmail.com? an/or ask rick to post a pic on this board? right now because of cost i am leaning toward general grabbers but i havent decided yet.

I will be taking some pictures this weekend and sending them to Rick or whomever else would like them. Please email me with the request because I might forget to look around the entire web site for each request that I have seen. That sounded conceded huh? Sorry about that I just meant that it may take a while for Rick to have them up and it would be a good reminder for me if you would email me, thanks!
