Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted here. I was recently living out of town and had family occasionally start and run my 98 5.0L while I was gone. Only problem is that it wasn't as often as it needed. When I returned home the truck would barely start and the calipers were pretty tight. Since then, the calipers have loosened up, but the battery has died twice. The first time it jumped easily, but this morning it wouldn't allow itself to be jumped. I figured the battery was a lost cause at this point and knowing that it was 4-5 years old I decided to pick up a new one. Got home a bit ago, swapped the battery, and no luck :( I can hear a single click from what I'm guessing is the starter, but no attempt to turn over. Any ideas? Googling only came back with the idea that the alarm needs about an hour to "resynch" before it will accept the key. So I'm waiting for that and praying I'll get some luck. When I tried to jump it I noticed some sparking but didn't think anything of it. Is there anything in the ignition i could have fried that would allow the starter to click on but not allow the motor to turn over? I'm running short on ideas. Thanks for your time!

While searching I've been clued to the solenoid, but people have suggested to look for it on the firewall, and the only thing I've been able to find there is a 175A relay. It does have 2 posts like a solenoid would, but they appear to be inline. One is a black wire with a red stripe, the other a red coated wire. But both appear to feed into the positive battery harness. So I don't know if I'd want to jump them.

No ideas as to where the relay is? I can take a picture of what I'm looking at if it will help.
