Maybe somone here can help with this one. I have a '99 EB with the Mach system. Everything was working perfectly, then one morning, the sub wasn't working. I had replaced the sub a few years ago with another OEM sub. The original had blown out. Although blown, it still would produce sound.

Right now, it is as though it is not even hooked up. Nothing comes out at all. Additionally, the CD changer will not work. There is power going to it because I can eject the cd holder, but when I try to select it on the stereo it'self, it says "NO CDDJ". I am at a total loss. Anyone have an idea?

Update - This morning I got in and for some strange reason, it was working. A couple miles down the road, it stopped. I'm guessing there might be a loose ground? Anyone have any ideas? Where would I look for this?

Anyone else have a suggestion? I'm totally at a loss.

Thanks for any help.

Make sure the plug behind the kickplate (next to your toes on the passenger side) is plugged in well, I've seen those come loose and/or pop wires. Also, the amp itself may have gone bad, it is mounted next to the sub.

I have found that if I pull the deck out of the dash and give it a little whack with the palm of my hand, it will kick the amp on and work fine, then for no reason, stop. Sometimes it stays on for a few minutes, sometimes for a couple days. My guess is that there is something loose inside the head unit. Does anyone know to look for or have a wiring diagram for INSIDE the head unit? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Could be a heat issue, I've had radios that work fine in cold weather then after awhile (after it's been on) it starts acting up or turns off. Some radios just go bad for no reason at all and there is so much electronics inside that could go wrong. I would just save the headache and time spent and just replace the headunit with an aftermarket. Let me know if you need help picking one out.
