99 explorer true duals Question

I was needing to find out if any one knows if you could mount two 2 chamber fowmasters on the same spot the current muffler is located? Is it Possible? Has it been done?
I have 5.0 and it would make it sound a hell of alot better.

they will fit if you mount them sideways....

u wil have to mount the vertical next to each other but will have to cut away the heatshield. a few people have this, and i considered it for a while, but i think i am going to go with a y pipe, into a single flow 40 delta, and out with duel 2 1/4. i dont want to cut away at my heat shield especially with the hot and humid summers in ny

I think it was RTstork that has that same set-up for true duals on his 5.0 Explorer. I'm going for dual Magnaflows on an 02' 4.6
