99 stereo question

i have a 99 limited with an aftermarket HU but the amp doesn't work with it. i bought a premium sound harness but that didn't work at all so i just use the harness that works with the four speakers. is there any way to make the amp work with this.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Are you trying to bypass the amp by using a harness for an Explorer with a standard sound system? Because that won't work.

For many vehicles an Amplifier Bypass Harness is made. That's what you'll need.

If you do have that, and you're trying to figure out where it goes, AFAIK the amp is located behind the trim panel on the right side of the cargo area, when looking at it from the rear cargo hatch.
