99 XLT Factory Alarm?

I recenetly installed an aftermarket radio and now the alarm doesnt work ? car alarm remote wont lock doors or unlock or set off the alarm..anyone have any suggestions?

what aftermarket system did you put in it? are you sure everything is wired correctly? sounds to me like a wiring issue. did everything work before you put the aftermarket radio in? check all of your fuses. does the radio work?

I put in a Sony radio, i couldnt tell you if everything was wired correctly because I had a friend do it, prior to this the alarm DID work , also everything with the radio works..i tried checking the fuse panel but I cant figure out which fuse leads to the alarm..what possibly could have been disconnected or wired wrong ? any wires that were touched where behind the radio so im not sure where the alarm wires behind the radio would be

are you sure the battery in the car alarm remote is good. im assuming you are talking about the factory alarm? if it is then start pulling all the fuses out one at a time until you find a bad. if you dont find a bad one then there is a wiring issue.
