I have an '99 Explorer XLT, that when the temperture outside reaches above 92 degrees, begins to act up. When I have been driving for about 30 min, and I am approaching a red light and I slow down, it begins to sputter and sometimes will die. I have to throw her in neutral and rev her up to keep it from dying, and when the light turns green, I throw her in drive and sometimes she'll go but most of the time she'll die. I have read older threads about this and have gotten nothing but guesses, or other members saying they have the same problem, no resolutions. Here's what I have done or know; I have replaced the IAC, not the problem (highest recommended "solution"), I have pressure in the fuel tank when I remove the cap. The MAF sensor is clean, no vacuum lines broken, no check engine light. Only happens when outside temperature above 92 degrees. Please only helpful replies, no guesses, no stories about yours. If you or someone you know have had this problem and had it fixed, I would love to hear back from you, thank you. :us::salute:
