I have a 99 XLT, everything seems to be running great, no major engine problems (was replaced at 50,000 before I bought it) however im getting a little concerned about my tranny. It seems about 1st to 2nd has a slight jerk, its not to major and always slips in without a hitch but enough to make my body go foward slightly. Im wondering what the warning signs are before I should really start to worry. Total miles on the truck is about 141xxx. I have the tranny fluid drained and replaced about a year ago as a precaution, but I would like you guy's input on some good preventative maintenance and some warning signs that its on its way out.
