not sure how to do this, but i have a question about my 2004 explorer 4.0 SOHC. with the vent setting any where but off(o), it puts out cold air(air conditioner cold) . i hear the compressor kicking off and on, condensation drips like crazy, and the AC button light is NOT on.

thanks for any help,
pete

Check if it is in DEF position, it turns the AC on always. Also, check if the AC button light is OK.

A/C will cycle on every setting except for floor setting. This is due to the a/c system removing humidity from the air, helps in the defrost etc.

If it cycles when in floor mode then there is a problem.
