Hi, I have a 97 explorer xlt 4.0 X. When I run my AC and in park or at a stop my idle jumps back and forth from 500 rpm to 700 rpm. I can here the relay clicking on and off and the compressor clutch starts and stops. While driving all is fine until I get to a stop or park it. I just had the fuel pump, the Idle position sensor, Idle air control valve replaced and throttle body cleaned. any help would be appreciated.

Mine does this too and its annoying. I replaced my compressor last winter bc its clutch was separated too much then and it still does it. At least my ac works now even though it still does it

The AC works it just cycles on and off during idle. Thanks

Mine works fine other than its drop/rise in RPMs at idle/park. I've never owned a car that the AC clutch kicked on and off so frequently

I guess the mechanic that replaced the compressor and recharged it may have messed up then bc that never got fixed.
