I begin my journey tomorrow morning replacing my a/c condenser unit in my 2013 XLT. I took to the dealership I bought if from and they quoted $2,300 to replace it and the purge valve solenoid. My wife says you can do it yourself. That's a little shocking when we got the quote back. QUESTION: how long has it taken any of yous guys to replace the condenser? I've heard 8 hours down to 4 hours. Plus, would I need any specialty tools? It is a Black beauty with 82,992 miles on it.
