Hello, I have a 92 Ex, and when I bought it 2yrs ago the a/c was fine. Then the compressor went so I said the hell with it, and replaced everything. I got it back and it worked great. In May this year the compressor went again so it was out of warranty, so I replaced it myself. As I was changing the system the compressor seized up. So I returned it, installed another one, and it did the same. Any clue why this is happening? I and using a 134A conversion kit and even when I bought the truck it had 134A in it. I don't know everything about a/c but its pretty simple I think. Any help would be great!

Thanks

When you have a compressor go bad, the system usually ends up contaminated. Replacing the compressor only results in the replacement compressor getting metal in it and also dying. You have to replace a lot of things and flush. There is an extensive thread on AC in the "Useful Threads Forum" that ... altho the title says it about converting from R-12 to 134, in the end it is almost an encyclopedia on Auto A/C, lots of pictures and good links in it.....start there.

The link doesn't work. :(
