Hi All,

Long time lurker, but I don't post much.

So here is the scoop. 2002 Explorer.

AC is charged.
a/c pump clutch engages as expected.
blend door is working as expected. I pulled it out to confirm and test and even took it apart to check the gears (great write up on this forum on how to do that)

My ac on the drives side center vent is sort of cool but the passenger side vents are not cool at all. The a/c vents in the back (3rd row) are cold.

So in short the a/c in the back of the explorer works fine, the front dash vents do not.

How can this happen?

I did confirm that my 'MAX' door is not working correctly. I'm not sure if that is the problem or not. I'm not sure if I want to pull my dash apart for that or not.

HELP!

Thanks
Richard

I don't have any codes.

I do know the MAX door isn't working correctly, but should that cause a problem with the A/C?

How can the back be cold and the front not be cold with excellent air flow?
