Hi there.
I have a 2005 XLT with manual a/c. The a/c always blows air out the bottom vents, front and rear. It makes no difference what you select with the switch control. The car only has 30 000 kms on and when I took it to the dealer, they said it is normal. Surely this can't be right? What is the purpose of the switch control for the vents then. Any idea where I should start looking?
Also, is it possible to change the manual system for an automatic climate control?

IMHO....auto climate control......is more of a problem waiting to happen.

In so much as the vents......well, most systems....will allow you to isolate (choose) which vents to open and close. (I don't own a 2005) But, I'm guessing that most vehicles have controls.....feet, or windshield or panel.......and combinations of vents......to heat or cool where you want it.

Aloha, Mark

That is the whole problem. With mine the selector switch might as well be decorative. It makes no difference what setting you choose, air ALWAYS comes out at your feet.
