Ok guys, now that winter has descended on atlanta, my engine seems to be running very cool....very cool. The temperature gauge rarely even gets into the indicating arc thing...usually rests between the C and the beginning of the arc, even after hard driving...redline shifts every time. One day after some "spirited" driving I opened the hood to let the engine "cool down" a bit, and almost NO warm air rose from the engine whatsoever (maybe a little from the exhaust manifold but only after a few seconds after the heat rose). Any possible harm from this? I know a cool engine is good, but a cold engine probably isn't.... I'm thinking the thermostat broke and is staying open....sound like a probable cause? The driving isnt effected at all, in fact, its hustling along pretty good now and the KKM is loving this cool, dense air. Thanks for the help.

Yup, probably a stuck tstat.

After a while your engine may be damaged and your gas mileage will suffer. Not to mention damaging the cats and o2 sensors. It's most definitely your thermostat sticking open.

well, sounds like I need to fix that....heh heh. Thanks guys.
